Another low down, bad horse quality image from biork (still just using the iphone here).  Wired the mispel without cutting anything from it, the shoots will be left for further thickening into what may become branches one day. Considering the base of this tree it has come a long way, and its closer to a bonsai now than ever.

Mispel Development

The mispel has responded well to this years repotting and is starting to produce flowers. My first flowering bonsai apart from the Fuchsia Cutling that is. No pruning or pinching this year is the reason for the flowering I guess.

Cotoneaster update

The "mispel" after some wiring and pruning of unwanted growth. Still not a fully fledged bonsai, but still a few notches nicer than its base.

Cotoneaster Cimmering

Still just a stick in a pot, but a vigorous one it is, yes. Lots of new shoots and branches. Pinched away yellow leaves and left two leaves on the highes branches, except the new leader (next pic). Yet to show real bonsai material, but time is all we got.

My first yamadori ever - 2007

Yamadori 2007

This was my first yamadori. Me and Trygve went out into the forest and came back with a few pines and scrubs. None of it were real bonsai-material, but this scrub has made it through all my amateur-treatment and therefore I like it. It has been repotted 2 times and now resides in standard soil mix.
